Mickey in the Spotlight!

Any visitor to the Maris Equestrian stables will have met the social and inquisitive Mickey. You will generally find him welcoming riders as they pass the paddocks and poking his head over the fence for a sneaky pat. Mickey is a Welsh x Arabian, 14 hh, jet black coloured, 6-year-old Pony.

Although he is young, Mickey is an old soul at heart who takes care of all of his riders, whether they are young children learning the ropes or more confident teens taking their riding to the next level.

Mickey is a very social, friendly, willing and forgiving horse. He is always happy to do whatever – jump around a bit, a beach ride or a trail ride. He has always been a bit nibbly and couldn’t be left unsupervised with gear otherwise you will soon find small chunks of leather missing. Mickey is also a very messy eater and always need a clean up after dinner time.

Mickey is a talented showjumper when put in the right hands and we are excited to see where his talent will take him in the future.
